Tiruvannamalai Adheenam Math has been rendering a noble service by distributing drinking water to sadhus, saints, pilgrims, and devotees undertaking the sacred Girivalam around the holy Arunachala Hill. The 14-kilometre Girivalam path attracts thousands of devotees daily and lakhs of devotees during Pournami and festival occasions, making the availability of drinking water an essential service. Recognizing the physical demands of the pilgrimage, especially during the hot summer months, the Adheenam Math sets up water distribution points along the Girivalam route.
