Madurai, Thirupuvanam Neela Megham Swamigal founded during the 16th century to spread the knowledge of Saiva Siddhantham. The Mutt offers Annadhanam (free meals) to devotees in its premises and the karuppanna swamy temples administered by them. The Mutt organizes special worship practices like Nithya and Maheswar Pooja.

Tiruvannamalai Adheenam Mutt is the brainchild of India’s Satguru and Annadana Guru, Shri Shri Karunanidhi Swamigal. The inspiration to build the mutt came after his grandfather, Thirupuvanam Neela Megham Swamigal, succumbed in 1985.
